Makeup Ecommerce Website
This project is an online cosmetics store designed to provide a smooth, elegant, and intuitive shopping experience for beauty lovers. The website allows users to browse and purchase a wide range of skincare and makeup products through a clean, visually appealing, and user-friendly interface. With structured categories, detailed product pages, smart filtering, and secure checkout, the platform helps customers easily find the products they love and enjoy a seamless shopping journey.
Design Process
Research & Understanding
To understand user expectations in the beauty and cosmetics market, competitor analysis and user behavior research were conducted. Insights focused on how users browse products, what information they prioritize, and what motivates them to make a purchase. Common pain points included overwhelming product variety, unclear product details, and complicated checkout processes.
Persona & Ideation
Based on research, user personas such as beauty enthusiasts, first-time buyers, and skincare-focused users were defined. Their goals, needs, and frustrations helped shape the structure of the website. Ideation sessions focused on creating a smooth navigation flow, clear categorization, and a comfortable shopping experience.
Wireframing & UI Design
Low-fidelity wireframes were created for key pages including the homepage, product listing, product detail page, cart, and checkout. Once the structure was validated, a modern and elegant UI style was developed using soft colors, premium typography, and clean layouts to reflect the beauty industry’s visual identity.
Prototyping & Testing
An interactive prototype was developed to test user journeys including browsing, filtering, viewing product details, and completing a purchase. User testing sessions helped identify improvements such as simplifying the filter layout, enhancing product detail clarity, and optimizing the mobile shopping experience.
