This project involved designing a simple, clean, and user-friendly online store for plastic kitchenware products. The main goal was to create a smooth experience for browsing and purchasing items by providing accurate product information, high-quality images, effective filters, and an easy checkout process. User testing helped enhance the overall user experience, resulting in an efficient and attractive website for customers.
Design Process
Research & Understanding
We began by studying user behaviors and needs related to buying kitchenware online. Key challenges identified included difficulty in finding precise product details, overwhelming choices, and unclear categorization. Competitive analysis helped pinpoint best practices and gaps in the market.
Persona & Ideation
We created personas such as homemakers, gift buyers, and small business owners to better understand diverse user goals. Ideation focused on simplifying navigation, improving product filtering, and ensuring trustworthy presentation of product quality.
Wireframing & UI Design
Initial wireframes were developed for main pages like homepage, category listings, product details, cart, and checkout. The UI design emphasized clean layouts, easy readability, and a color palette reflecting cleanliness and reliability.
Prototyping & Testing
An interactive prototype was created to test key user flows. Usability testing with target users revealed areas for improving filter clarity and product information display. Iterations led to a streamlined shopping experience optimized for both desktop and mobile devices.
